Jade

Considered an Oriental stone, it has been used in America for thousands of years, as an ornamental material. Today it is still used for ornamental purposes but mainly with synthetic jade. Rarely found as acrystal with a vitreous luster. Primarily found in veins, it also occurs as alluvial pebbles.

Crystal structure: Monoclinic

Color: Sea-green, off-white or grayish-white, brown, lilac, gray, orange-yellow.
